Some secrets are just too good to keep, and even though we thought we’d be able to keep the name of this year’s Western Fantasy headliner under wraps until tomorrow, when it would be announced exclusively in my Denver Post column, it appears that word is getting out. So we might as well blog it, Facebook it and Tweet it: Wynonna Judd is the one who’ll be taking center stage at this Oct. 23 benefit for Volunteers of America.
It’ll be her second appearance at Western Fantasy; she was here 13 years ago and is only the second star asked to make an encore performance. The first was Kenny Rogers.
Gayle and Ed Novak are chairing Western Fantasy 2010, and Gayle advises that it’d be a good idea to write your check now if you plan on attending because 40 percent of the available tickets have already been sold. RSVP to Michael James at the VOA office, 720-264-3322, or visit westernfantasy.com
